He was a great person, very close to some guys I know well. Got to spend some time with him at clinics and he sure did have some great stories. Also would send him film form time to time in the past and he would send back pages of hand written notes about what he saw. Was such a great resource and giving man. Big loss to the wing t community and football in general. He told us a story over beers at one of the first National Wing T clinics of how he was at a Steelers playoff game with a friend and they were getting ready to leave when the crowd went wild, he grabbed his friend and said “Look at the field!” Coach Klausing then asked us if we knew what the Immacualte reception was. Of course we told him. He smiled and said “Somdoes my friend Bobby Bowden thanks to me since he was my friend and was walking up the isle before I grabbed him and told him to turn around and look at the field.” Won’t meet too many guys who saw the Immacualte Reception in person with Bobby Bowden.

Rest in Peace, Coach Klausing. I never met him, but I learned a great deal from him over the years.

RIP Coach My first time as an OC, I would send him our film and he would send me back notes. He didn't know me from the next guy but was always willing to help.
