Public school I started at 1998 2-7 1999 3-6 2000 5-5 (Lost is the First Round of Playoffs) 2001 5-5 (Lost in the first round of playoffs) 2002 7-4 (Lost int he second round of playoffs) 2003 8-3 (Lost in Quarterfinals)
School Made Budget cuts and withdrew 5 assistnat football coaching contracts (4 on the defensive side of the football and O-Line coach) including mine. Reason was we were out of the buliding or did not have enought seniority on the staff. I Left for Private Catholic school that hired new head coach down the road in 2004. They had won 8 games in previous 6 years before The new staff got there.
At new Private school 2004 4-5 2005 5-5 (lost first round) 2006 5-4 (Did not qualify for playoffs due to selection system)
2007 - Hopefully we will turn the corner big time. Lower levels (Frosh and Sohpmore teams) were a combine 17-1 last year.
Just a side note.. the public school that I left due to budget cuts went 7 - 19 the last three years (0-9 this year). Administration really screwed the whole program with the cuts. I feel horrible for the Head coach there. He got canned this winter. The shame of it was that the head coach was willing to give up his stipend to at least give the 5 of us some kind of money but the District would not let him because we had to ahev a contract to coach. Then they fire him two years later for lack of performance on the field. He was left with 7 coaches for 3 levels at a school of 2200 kids in one of the toughest conferences in the Area. Just messed up. Can't be good if you don't have enough assistants!

4-6
7-4 (first round loss in playoffs, 7th winning season in 88 year history of the program)
7-6 (first, second round wins, loss in State Championship game. 8th winning season in 89 year history of program)
Last year we lost the first 3 games due to injuries and suspensions. Were predicted last in the conference, and won 6 in a row to get a first seed and eventually go to the state championship game.

I'm well-traveled with three programs in five years, but here we go:
5A school in IL:
2002--3-6 no playoffs 2003--8-3, second round 2004--10-3, lost to state champs in semis
6A school in IL:
2005--11-1, lost to state runnerup in quarterfinals
2A school in IL (took the job to be closer to home)
2006--2-7 no playoffs
2007 I plan on being with my current program, but I have applied at a few schools as well. We have potential but will be relying on a lot of sophomores.

2006 - 1-9, won the "Toilet Bowl." Was DC (6-2) 2007 - First year HC. The last HC went 1-25. Ouch. At least it can't get any worse. I'll let you know how it turns out, hopefully.
