Coaches,
Quick Q. I was speaking at a clinic last weekend and did not realize that an opponents coach was in the audience. No real problem with that, its just that he wants copies of the powerpoints I showed. And I am just wondering if I should let him have them??? It will help our opponent who is usually better than us and could give them valuable info about us. Am I being a jerk for not wanting to give them to him??? As a speaker I always say I will give them to anyone who emails me. Its just that conferene opponents are usually not at any of the clinics...

Give it to him but go through and edit some parts/change names etc... to confuse him....
or don't edit but when you have success versus them you can think to yourself that you executed your plays even when he knew the in's and outs of what you were doing

Would he help you if the roles were reversed? One of the great things I have enjoyed about coaching football for the past 16 years is the willingness of coaches to help each other out. If it were me, I would give him the information. I would also ask him for information on what he is doing if he is having success against me.
