We are blowing out a team in the 4th quarter, we had better numbers and a decent amount of studs and they just lost 3 of their best players so its one of those games
While in "run the ball only" mode our tailback decides to break a long td, our kicker had a soccer game so we were going for 2 the whole time....
I call a pass play and they have it covered, so our qb bails out of the pocket... except today he decides to do the "johnny manziel" and reverse field.... 3 times in a row. (like I said we clearly had both superior talent and numbers)
So I start yelling "You are gonna get hurt! Throw it away! Just run out of bounds!"
The ref looks right at me and goes "No problem coach!" and blows the play dead!
Qb goes crazy, Parents are up in arms, Our HC is confused. and I'm laughing my A$$ off.
when our HC asked the ref why he blew it dead he goes "I just didn't want anybody to get hurt."
... Qb still never forgave me for that one lol
