We've been dealing with a similar issue as well this year. We have been struggling on the offensive side of the ball and it doesn't help that our fans have become spoiled with success over the years. They've been calling for our OC's job, saying the OL coaching (me) is just terrible and a whole bunch of other nonsense. Honestly though all those fans don't bother me at all because I know how little they know. For example one supposedly wise and informed parent posted on a message board that our offense was based on the Zone Read and we were struggling on offense because we weren't making good read; but the funny thing is we haven't ran zone read all year lol!

People in your neck of the woods are delusional...they even complained about CN, who was 241-52 in 24 years.

in one of the all time great eff you's to parents, an old coach that was really just working to keep his retirement numbers up, was dealing with parents on social media complaining that their senior sons were being benched for younger players, so midway through season he just started all the seniors, regardless of ability. Dropped almost all of the underclassmen to JV. Probably set the program back a few years, not a recommended move by any means, but he did claim to enjoy those parents faces when their senior sons were out there getting their heads beat in. I actually think that is a great idea to develop players. When I have taken over a bad program in the past we basically do that, but more for developmental purposes. I mean we will play Seniors as much as we can. A coaching mentor of mine told me that YOU GOTTA WIN ON THURSDAY BEFORE YOU CAN WIN ON FRIDAY. So I make sure to field our best Freshman team, Sophomore team and JV team, I don't want to save an Underclassmen for the Varsity game unless he is a bonafide 2-way starter. And if I got a Sophomore or Junior that starts on one side of the ball, he will start and play the whole JV game on the other side of the ball. For example if we got a starting MLBer he will play the whole JV game on offense only.
