In the market for new uniforms. Need a durable, good looking uniform. Currently have Adidas, don't love them. Recommendations?

Adidas just dont hold up well.
Under armour is slightly better.
Nike is really good if you can get them. Their top end, sewn in stuff lasts well.
Speedline is the best I have ever had. Lasts forever. Literally, forever. We cant tear them up. Cant throw them away.
No kids want to wear speed line anymore. They want one of the three above.
Russell offers great deals but they are average.
Thats all I got

Interesting that you like Speedline. I don't like ours. Side inserts are not sewn in well and it's like pulling teeth to get them fixed.

Russell's leaving the uniform business. We currently have Nike. I like them, the kids like them. We have a new set, and the old set the JV wears that was handed down seems to have held up well for a number of years.

How often do you feel you need new uni's? How long does a jersey set last?

Just go Nike. The kids like them. The parents like them. They look good. They last fine. They really aren't that much more expensive. Their stock stuff is actually cheap/reasonable.

our adidas unis are in their 5th year now and have held up really well.. we have a 3 sets, the white set (which gets worn the most, can split the colors on home games) is finally starting to wear down but still not in terrible condition.
we will probably be transitioning to nike (whole school) so we'll see on those

I'll throw in a vote for Riddell. We've got the basic generic ones, not the ones with the sleeve issues. Sleeves are short but pads don't hang out. They have been awesome, and kids like them. Wash extremely well too. We've only had to replace a couple in 3 years.

I think we have either Russell or Riddell can't remember only because their Crimson matches our school colors the best. Only issue we had were the reds bleeding when they were washed. Bought a set of uniforms when we started back almost 8 years ago, no problems with them. We did get new white ones with gold numbers, up close they look awesome but from a distance you can not make out the numbers

ADIDAS all the way, those have been the best for us. The fit super tight and kids love them.
NIKE is okay, there was a deal out west last year where if you bought them you got money back on your spirit pack stuff, might be worth it to get their nice stuff.
I HATE RIDDELL, for uni's they don't last.

We have the nicer ones with the tackle twill ( think that's what it's called) numbers. Our guys really don't care about the brand as long as they look good.

Thanks for the input guys. Right now, Nike and ProLook are the top of the list. Nike mostly for the incentives and ProLook for the durability and cost.

We got three sets of the ProLook jerseys, 1set of pants, 1set of compression warm up shirts, socks. Everything is dye sublimated and fits tight. The pants run small and tight if a guy wears a medium Pant in Riddell need a large or XL in pro look. Our biggest kid wears a 3x Russell pant, 6x in pro look (6-6 330 big and sloppy doesn’t play nickname is Big Goofy) Jerseys run tight but about right size in that a medium fits a medium but is tight, no leeway if a regular jersey is tight need to go up a size for these. They seem to be holding up well, and kids like the look and how much they stretch. We have had a few guys develop small holes in front wear jerseys eem to be stretched and wearing against shoulder pads near lace and buckle areas in front. It’s on one RB and a few lineman that all have tight jerseys. A local cleaners cleans our varsity jerseys and pants each week (manager wash the warmups and socks as well as freshmen and JV uniforms). And the cleaners also repair the holes, tears etc just got these this season so too soon to tell real durability.
these just replaced some Russell jerseys wear the Homes were used for 4 years and Whites for 3. We are still using the white pants for varsity with New Jersey since we got 3 sets of jerseys and only 1 set of pants.
JV now wears the Russell, always wearing Home pants and they have held up really well still look almost new for JV. Our AD didn’t want us to use them for JV saying they were too nice. Only lost jerseys from the Russell were ones cut off injured players.
our freshmen wear Nike jerseys with practice pants ( old game pants now used for practice). The Nike jerseys are over 10years old blacks we’re used for Varsity for 6 years, Whites for 7. They have held up pretty well but have lost a few jerseys from each set that were torn up few more cut off injured guys in over a decade of use.

We just got Nike...meh Had Riddell and the only reason we needed uniforms was because our underclassmen needed new uniforms so we thought we would hand the Riddell's down and upgrade to Nike. Wish I would have stuck with Riddell...... after a season the Nike are pilling, artwork is coming off, whites didn't stay the same white as pants after a few washes (I washed them all), and they were more expensive. I will remember that 5 years from now.

Rippon Uniforms. Most people don't know this but most NFL teams have Rippon make their unis. They just sew a Nike swosh on it. Here is the deal with Brand unis. They have a sale life of about 3 years. Meaning you can only buy them for 3 years, then they are gone. So if you need a replacement, your screwed. Here are the facts, parents ruin unis, unis get ripped, lost ect. With Ripon they keep your design on file for LIFE! That means 10, 15 years from now you can get a replacement. The cost is comparable with name brand. And they LAST!, they also back the product, if a uni rips at the seams, send it back they fix it. They can design anything you want. Don't waste your money on the swosh, or the UA...get a product that is same or better and make sure you can replace jerseys when you need to. Fact is if you need to replace a jersey 4 years after you buy from Nike, you cant. Its gone. They do this so you have to buy new unis every 4-5 years. Stupid, and if you want to do a special design...good luck..can you say more $$$ and 6 month lead time.....I bought 150 Custom designed Rippon Jerseys for much less than our BSN Rep or UA rep could sell me them, and they wanted extra $$ to add the custom touches....RIPPON is the way to go

GameDay Sports Apparel will customize your uniforms and turn them around 10 days after receipt of your approved mock up. The stich is tackle twill sublimation. No limitnon the number of colors. Slight price increase for size triple x and above but Price will probably be less than you are paying. I can vouch for the durability of the uniforms. Private message me and I will connect you with their artist who can help draft the mock up of your color schem, logo, team name and design.

Had Nike at my previous school. Well put together. Light. Kids loved them. Currently have Under Armour. They are OK but heavy. 1st year so I cannot speak to durability.

We have had UA. Not the most durable. Our whites have the numbers peeling badly. I don’t think it’s great for the $$$. But we haven’t had anything else for me to compare to

We got prolook sublimated as our alternate jersey this year. They have been horrible. Jerseys are ripping, fading (only been worn 3 times). They run small. Customer service was a joke. We are currently pursuing legal options to remedy the situation.
Adidas is running a sale in our area to get russell teams (which we are). If you switch from russell to adidas and buy the jersey, you will get the same level game pants free. we are looking at getting the adidas hyped jerseys for 48.95 for 2 color numbers and team name and tv numbers.
The other model, the shockwave, we were quoted at 96.
Plus free pants on both of them.
I have the contact for the company that is offering this if anyone is interested.

Make your kids happy and get some Nike, whether it is the Pro Combat line or the newer templet that Ohio State and all the big blue bloods use. Your kids will love it, I wore Under Armor in HS and it was just ok, they were kind of tight fitting and that is something you really want if youre a faster team. In college we wear Nike and it is just head and shoulder difference.

Siege Sports or Rippon if you got money if not... Adidas is way better than Under Armour Not a fan of Seige. They did a horrible job with coaches jerseys for USA Football. Never included the logo. Not sure y the NFL prefers them. GameDay Sports Apparel.... tackle twill sublimation with 8 way stitch for durability.

We actually send ours out to be reconditioned every week after wearing, it was I believe All American or Riddell who screwed them up

We have a navy set, gold set, white set and gray set that are all Nike. The navy ones are about 5 or 6 years old but holding up pretty well. The one issue we have is the v of the neck tearing on them. The white ones are 2 years old but look like they are about 5 years old, as mentioned very hard to keep clean. The gold sets are brand new and the gray set doesn't get pulled out very often so they are in great condition. We also have a camo jersey that is Rawlings I believe, we only wear it once a year so it is holding up well. Overall, the kids like the Nike uniforms, some complain about the pants being a little smaller than some of the other pants we have had.
