It would appear that Steve Kragthorpe is the man to replace Bobby Petrino at the University of Louisville. Can anyone out there tell me about his offensive style of play? I have heard spread option. Anyone know?

His Dad, Dave Kragthorpe, was my first head coach at Idaho State University before departing to Utah to take over the A.D. job. He ran the first of the W.C.O. with an influence from Norm Chow and Lavell Edwards. I cannot even guess if son has followed dad in terms of systems, but Louisville has a great system in place there with the guys to run it.

he is more like john l smith in his offensive philosophy. all depends on who he hires as a oc. he had charlie stubbs who is a forward pass king of guy. however stubbs is rumored to take the tulsa job is steve leaves.

Yes, as in the old Oregon State coach. I don't know where he was prior to Idaho State, but two years after we won the DIAA National Championship he went back to his alma mater in Utah then onto Portland, and Oregon State. His successor at Idaho State was Coach Jim Koetter, Dirk Koetter's Dad.
