Do any of you use the the regular winged-t with the 2'/3' foot line splits and also use the no-split double wing? Have dabbled with it on paper and seems interesting.

We adjust our splits according to what we are doing. If we want to get outside on the rocket play then we cheat our splits down. If we have to down block then we make it easier on ourselves and cheat our splits down. If we are running trap then we widen the trapper. We want to create better angles and easier blocks for our linemen.

How do you adjust your splits?
I was using common sense rules where the guys do their own adjustments based on the play. But our O.Line coach (who is awesome) has us use calls to each other when we break the huddle to remind us to change our splits based on the coded call.
Would like to know what the rest of you do!

during the week if we game plan our splits to be different than normal then we will tell them gay splits for tighter and bertha splits for bigger.
so when the play is called they can remember what splits we want them to use.
