Kind of interesting, I didn't know this was out there in such an organized way. I was watching TV fairly early this morning on an obscure channel I saw "Chinese Football" I was thinking I would check it out, but expecting it to be Soccer.
It is Chinese Arena League Football. Aside from it being just like Arena, the interesting part was that four Chinese players had to be on the field at all times. Fairly interesting based on it being in China and being founded by an American, also Vermeil is a higher up in the organization. It was on "One World Sports"

The rule about Chinese players doesn't surprise me. That's a common thing in other sports leagues there like basketball, soccer, and baseball and it's probably best for the long term growth of the game in that country. IMO, if our game is going to expand much outside the USA and Canada, it's going to wind up evolving into something more like Arena league or 6-8 man football due to numbers and budgeting concerns, sort of how basketball spread so quickly around the world because you only needed 5 for a team and the equipment/arena costs were so low. The future of the US game might even go this route due to concussion hysteria and declining participation/rising insurance and equipment costs.
