Thats terrible, I cant imagine having to deal with a situation like that.
One of our JV coaches, acting as get-back coach at the varsity game 2 weeks ago, got wiped out on the sideline. Tore his ACL, PCL, MCL, meniscus. Young guy, paying attention, RB got shoved into him and he couldnt move fast enough.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Saw that earlier this week up here in PA. Stuff like that gets me nervous as my 6 year old son is really getting into the games and stuff this year. I know soon he will want to be involved with the team and I would love him to be but being up in the box during games there is no way in he!! I would let him on the sideline without me. Guess I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

This past week we had a middle school player on our sideline acting as ball boy. He's a little guy and got taken out by 3 big varsity players. Seeing him disappear under that mass of humanity almost gave me a heart attack. I started yanking guys off of him and he just laid there with his eyes as big as saucers. He eventually got up and walked it off but his dad told me he was SORE on Saturday morning. It can happen in an instant, be alert!
