We do!
We need a win to stay in the playoff picture! We play a team that is 5-1 and ranked as high as 7th in state! Arch rival. They have been up the past few years and we've been down.
We have a shot. We started off 0-3 against a tough schedule and starting only 4 seniors and 6-7 sophomores aside. We've gone 3-0 and have absolutely pounded some average competition the last three weeks.
Most of the local paper have us as the underdog. A couple of prognosticators have mentioned an upset!
Bus rolls in 3 hours 48 minutes, but who's counting!

We can pretty much lock up a playoff bid with a win tonight- it's against a very good opponent and we'll have to fight like hell to get it done but that's what it's about every week in our region.

Very big game for us--if we win, we avoid 0-8

We are 6-0 but have yet to play a state playoff type team.......that is until tonight! Our offense should move the ball, but defensively we will be challenged. Their GIANT WR's vs our fast, hard hitting, yet VERY short corners. I think I might just.....Hurrrmmmppphhh... ... ...

ouuuch....sick to my stomach! 38-35 loss to one of the best teams in the state. We played poorly on defense and our kicking game was horrible.
I feel bad for our kids. A few Seniors went brain dead and we had no answers for their spread. They'd go 4 wide, get 6 in the box, and then run it down our throats. We had no answers. I was hopping we would switch to our 4-3 from our standard 4-4 keep our LBer's tight and let them beat us through the air.
Instead we made no adjustments except personell and gave up close to 400 yds rushing. Very frustrating. Our defense has only given up 24 points in the last three game. The last two games we gave up -34 rushing yards in the second half.

We had a big one friday. We were 3-4 and 0-1 in a split class conference and had just had a disappointing loss to the #2 2a team in the state. (we are 3a) We played what was suppossed to be the top 3a team in our conference. We come out on fire and led 21-0 after 1 qtr. First play of 2nd qtr our starting QB gets hurt and back up comes in. He fumbles and throws a pick to let them back in it 21-14. Then our young OL that has struggled this year steps it up and we go on a 9 minute drive to ice the game. Completed no passes after QB went out. , but ran for 288 w/ a spread offense running IZ and QB ctr. against a 5 man line. My boys really stepped it up! Now we control our own destiny at getting a 3a playoff spot
