Took individual shots in the gym, and the photographer is going to photoshop the team together.
Technology is great.

On our all-league photo last year one of the teams didn't show up. Their players just weren't there. So, the photographer got some photos of them from somewhere and 'Shopped them into the final image. It looks just fine unless you look real closely and then something ain't right but you can't really tell what it is.
Makes me think that I'm going to have a lot of all-league players next year...

We used a company like it last year looks good. No one would know. We've used these guys for years, they do a good job. Never done this before, just was an option in case of rain. They've photoshopped in medals in our championship picture before, but nothing this big.

They've photoshopped in medals in our championship picture before, but nothing this big. My first year at my current school was miserable. We have a huge program guide. We took an unreal amount of photos. Whole team, all coaches, coaches by level, everyone in a position whole program, everyone in position by level, each grade took a photo. Any player that had a girl friend that was a cheerleader took them together, any siblings on the team...Really anything you could ever think of we took that photo. Truly the most miserable photo experience of all time... This company did all of that and all the kids and coaches had to do was fill out a piece of paper and take one photo and they were done. I don't even know the name of the company but if I am ever a head coach then I am going to hire these people.

To me, the team picture is cake. As others have pointed out, the waiting for all the individual and group shots is what makes picture day miserable.

Our photographer has been doing the individual green screen and combining for a few years, we make a day of it, have kids all show up and start taking pics by grade, do senior shots, etc, have a make up day later and can still be in team picture. We then have a big family cookout, all the layers and coaches and their families with potluck for sides and desserts and coaches and parents grill up a bunch of burgers, dogs, pork chops, brats, grilled chicken. Whole process is pretty painless and usually a fun day as long as weather is decent.

I pulled this off for our team's website for this fall. I do these for anyone if you have great photos, etc. (PM me if interested) Looking to go real big next summer/fall for the football team. Already planning. I did this for my son's basketball team in the spring. Pictures were done by a mom (slightly blurry), but I chopped them up and put this together.

I'm also young and grew up with pokemon my entire life. Players are always amazed to know we have lives/hobbies outside of coaching
