Does anyone have a checklist for position groups for each grade level? For example the 6th grade coaches would have a list for all WR's and they would be able to line up with correct body mechanics. They would be able to run the 5 basic routes. They would be able to explain how to catch the ball above and below the waist and demonstrate it.
I am looking at creating a checklist for 7th and 8th grade so when they get to high school they have the basic terminology and fundamentals down. We get OL as 9th graders that have no clue what a down block is and they have played tackle football for 4 years.
Thanks for your help!

We've kind of done this. The easiest way to look at it is work backwards. So our 7th grade only play our base defense. No blitz. Two coverages (honestly it's straight man so cov 1 and 0). Then in the 8th we will add a few blitz and stunts and that's it.
On offense we pick about 3-5 plays to focus on and then add a couple of plays/adjustments then next year. Then we break down all the skills we need and make a checklist from there. With our 7th right now we on concentrating on real basic skills. Settle and noose and the other typical Air Raid warm up. We aren't an AR team but they are good skill builders. Then we focus on stance and a few other things.

Shouldn't this be dictated by the Varsity HC? And along those lines it would be relative based on how simple or complex the varsity scheme is.
