Beyond watching it for entertainment, I did find myself wondering about TYFA rules, like what constitutes and dangerous tackle. I hav found Dave Cisar's commentary to be helpful as far as that goes.

Entertainment? It's bullchit! I've only watched clips of that dumpster fire of a tv show and it makes me sad that it goes on. I saw that it was on Netflix now and almost checked it out but couldn't bring myself to press the button.
I wonder if that's how celebrities feel about Keeping up with the kardashians?

coachhuey.com/thread/62826/friday-night-tykes-esquire-channelIts a guilty pleasure. It is interesting to watch how it has evolved or maybe how their forced narrative has backfired on them (producers or the league officials). Of course, I'm sure about 20% of what we're seeing is reality, but the length they go to manufacture conflict and drama only exposes what attention whores the parent are This season, in particular, or maybe it's cumulative effect of watching the other seasons, it becomes painfully apparent why the good programs are good and the bad programs a nightmare

definitely a guilty pleasure, but just know that while the show portrays tyfa as the best league out there, it's really a joke. a guy on my staff had his kid on one of the teams and he pulled him off and took him to another league and had nothing but bad things to say about it. plus, it's youth league. those guys know nothing about football.
