How do you guys with small #s in a competitive league structure your practices so that you get everything in during the week. How do you do it with alot of kids going both ways?

We always set up practice in 1 hour blocks. Offense to start, then defense. We alternate days as to what side to start. We end practice with special teams everyday.

We are doing everything possible to get as few 2-ways as possible, but it is hard. We usually have an offense-heavy day and a defense heavy-day during the week. We have JV games on Monday, where we install everything that we are going to work on that week. Monday is very important. You need to unveil the gameplan and use that day to set up Tuesday and Wednesday. We also run over our special teams that day. We used to start off each practice with special teams, but we just ran out of time. We do Offense the majority of the time on Tuesday- Individual O, Group O Running Game and PLayaction. Defense is just to run through our changes that week - Team D(stunts, blitzes, etc.) Wednesday we do defense the majority of the time. Individual & Group D (Pass Skelly, etc.) Offense does passing game, any tricks, anything that needs refininig. Thursday is our walk-through and the day we do 2-minute drill.
Obviously, there are a million other things we do each day, but that is a general overview.
