It's bad enough I have to sit and watch my Vols get it handed to them. But in my brilliance I get on the message boards and see what the d-a fans have to say. Now I'm depressed and pissed off.
Since I'm talking about being on a fan message board should I have put this in the "conversing with idiots" thread?

Coach: Yup. ;D I'm Cal '82, but let me congratulate the Vols for being a class organization -- and point out that a 14-point defeat, while comforting for my fellow Old Blues, is nothing like the butt-whupping that took place last year. Best wishes to Tennessee for a great season.

Another Cal fan here (grew up in the bay area) big bear fan. I admittedly was giddy after that win. Tennessee is almost always a great measuring stick to judge how your team is. That was by far the loudest Cal crowd i've ever seen as well. (not S.E.C standards..but good for pac10). I'm positive the Vols will be tough this year. I think both teams need to work on the defensive stuff a bit eh? heh. 45-31 is a pac-10 shootout.

I didn't go to the stadium but we went by it and I like the way it sits in the side of the mountain. I hope they get the tree people situation straightened out and get to expand their facilities. Quick question- how good is Cal's O-line? We got nowhere near Longshore all night. Please tell me ya'll have some studs up there or it's gonna be a long SEC season! Congrats on the win.

yeah Cal's Offensive Line is for real. Their Oline coach is pretty respected. The Center is an all american candidate and the rest of the oline were highly rated kids coming out of high school who got bigger and stronger. I don't think its a stretch to say Cal has a top 10 offensive line. I live in Oregon now..so haven't had a chance to see the treetards in person..but they are more likely homeless people with nothing else to do.

This thread reminds me of a great article I enjoyed the other day. The new rules for college football fans to live by. I am a Georgia fan who has three favorite teams...UGA of course, Notre Dame (which breaks Rule #1, sorry, I love the tradition of the place), and whoever plays Tennessee (sorry utchuckd). Check it out below. Don't forget to check out the comments. Many of those are funnier than the ones actually in the article. sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=rules/070905

Coach Moore, it's nice to see someone else from N. GA who's not a Vol fan. Growing up I was surrounded by Vol fans. BTW...Fav#1 UGA, then whoever is playing UT, then who ever is playing VA Tech...yeah, I live in VA now, and like to give the Tech fans on staff a hard time. the Peach bowl was great last year.

Ouch! I was always fairly ambivalent to morbidly interested in the Dawgs til now. Guess I gotta add them to the {censored} list too. But sorry, you're still way below Alabama, and Florida, and Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame, and Michigan, and Ohio State. Where ya'll at in GA? I'm not far from Chattanooga, used to do some business down that way.

I'm with you on Florida and Ohio State though. Add USC, the real USC not S. Carolina, to my list. I'm in Rossville, GA by the way.
