Thinking of buying this book. Anybody read it? How is is? Does it go into a lot of detail with inside and outside veer. I'm assuming more outside veer since its a SBV the author coached in. Which is perfectly cool with me. Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Buy the second edition Coaching the Veer Offense.
All the same Football material as original minus record book-type stuff from authors' time at Stillwater (and probably cheaper too).

I believe he is referring to Homer Rice's book as being a good book that he got in 92.

yes the homer rice book I got in 92, but I think it came out much earlier, split back veer, he talked more about his passing than his run game, but a good to the point book, I have it somewhere, never read the other book, sounds good, but my book buying has slowed down, I remember a great book out there, from the 80s I think, steve axeman, great option book but can't remember the title

Rice's book (1973) very much emphasizes the passing game. Most of it is from three-WR formation which is not common among Veer coaches. Doesn't discuss OV at all.
If one wants to learn the Veer (and not just IV) there are better sources out there.
Axman's book is Attacking Modern Defenses with the Multiple-Formation Veer Offense (1978).
