About 30 miles, which takes 37. This is half the commute I've had for the past 3 years..

I still teach in the district where I was the HC, 11 miles/15 minutes from my house (country roads).
School I coach at in another counth is 26 miles from my school and 23 miles from my house..about an hour round trip everyday.
Probably not going to do it next year. Great group of coaches, top 30 program in our state, but drive and $$$ just isn't worth it.

When I first moved to the school I'm at (17 years ago) my "commute" was 45 seconds. Yes...45 seconds. Did that for a couple years. Then moved to a little bit bigger spot. 9 miles away. Takes about 14 minutes to get to school. If there is a car in front of me it's a traffic jam.

currently 3 miles takes about 4 minutes. Its awesome.
Previously 40 miles took one hour at old school did that 3 years and decided the next school I went to I would try to get as close as I could afford. (It has been a good decision)

112 Mile round trip...
I live, work, and coach in three different places takes me about 55 minutes to get to school I work at in the morning, another 40 minutes to the school I coach at, and 30 minutes home it is a big triangle. Not ideal at all and for four years I have been calling it a temporary situation, lol...

When I coached with nltdiego it was a 75 mile round trip for me through the SF Bay Area traffic. I did that for 2 years. I am now 14 miles from the school through windy mountain/foothill road to get to the school. Usually 20 minutes each way, but a boulder comes down on the road or it's snowing/freezing/icing and it's not going to be easy. Kids are coming to the school from up to 25 miles away.

Right now 4 miles. Takes between 8-10 minutes depending on stop lights.
Last gig was 25 miles one way, 30 minute commute
Before that: 6 miles 10 minutes
Before that was a 35 minute commute
I love the short commute and living in the community I teach and coach in.

Now, 300 yards, and it is great! I walk to work in the spring about 3 or 4 days a week. Even in the fall and winter when I'm driving I barely spend anything on gasoline. My wife drives about 5 miles to her school. Our transportation budget is smaller than I could have ever imagined. We have great restaurants, shopping, and bars within walking distance in a nice small town downtown district, but we are only 15-20 minutes from a good sized city's main street. But honestly, with two small children, we hardly ever find ourselves more than 10 miles from our house/work on work days. A lot less stress and a lot less cost than when I've driven 30 minutes to work at other stops.

Nobody else sleeps on a cot at the stadium? In the 2 years I did the long haul, I either napped on couch in the office between 2 a days or I cooled off in the HC's pool. There were some late JV or Sunday meetings I slept over at another coache's house.

Right at the edge of school property. I walk to school every morning. It's about 100 yard walk from my front door to the entrance to the school. I walk home during my free period to eat lunch and (if I'm not busy) prop up on the couch and watch TV for a little while.
It's quite nice.

10 minutes.
Fun Fact: my family has lived on the same road in the same town since the 1850's.

60 mile drive one way... It sucks I did that for the better part of 3 years. You have my sympathies. The worst part of that commute was driving home on Fridays after games. Most of our road games were 90 minutes-2 hour bus rides away, so we'd get back around 12, then make I'd make that drive.

Two exits, five minutes door to door. Used to be 45 minutes one way, so I can't get over how good I've got it now.

Have been lucky. Twice in my career that my drive has been less than 2 miles. Longest I ever had was 25 miles.
Best story though... Does sleeping at the office count? I don't mean for just one night...meaning that WAS my address for 6 months. I was a 23 year old, single GA at a D2 school in small town America making $500 a month and trying to save up enough to get a campus apartment during the summer. Good thing was I had free unlimited meals in the cafeteria, free grad school (obviously), my own office, my car barely ever moved, but bad news was no room/apt. Luckily HC was good enough to slip me some dollars here and there. (Yep, saved that too) After a semester of living in the office and saving up some money from other odd jobs, I saved up enough to get an apartment for my next 12 months there.
DISCLAIMER: Ok, so I might have not slept at the office EVERY night.... :-)
