Looks like a good idea--but a $1500 price tag is going to keep it out the high school market.

1,500 for 1 helmet. Love the Idea, but will be a while before its able to be bought at the lower levels other than NFL and Major college football teams.

Pretty sure we were told helmets don't prevent concussions. Neck iso's do!

Maybe they meant the helmets we have now don't prevent concussions.... But I have to admit I am not sure that this will prevent concussions because the head and neck will still snap one way or the other on a big hit.

Obviously I am no scientist, engineer, or doctor but I have heard them talk about this issue. Best analogy I heard was a Dr saying think of the head as an egg, you have a shell and then the yolk. You can cover an egg in Kevlar, titanium, steel, wrap it in bubble wrap or whatever but if you throw it against a wall the shell my not break but when you look inside the yolk will be scrambled no matter whats on the outside. Have helmets come a looooooong way? Of course. But I doubt any product that say it will eliminate concussions.

Uh.... Unless my physics and anatomy classes from way back in the day are failing me this isn't a solution. It's cool, but it's not a solution.
