Off-season is a great time to reflect, to figure out what to eliminate or get better at One of my off-season priorities every year I guess is to find the Holy Grail of practice schedules and ideas. Would love to see what you all do! What do you do Monday thru Thursday, how long, what do you do with specials, what do you do with Freshman (on their own or with the whole group) - do coaches coach one side or both sides? I saw on here some even separate JV! How much live, how much tackling? Are you an Indy, Group, Team guy everyday? Anything you can share would be great! I feel we run a good practice but I always feel it can get better Thank you

Monday- Film, lift, install, align.
Tuesday- 90% offense, 10% defense
Wednesday- 90% defense, 10% offense
Thursday- walk thru
Friday- Game
Tuesday and Wednesday are usually right around 2 hours. Monday is usually a little longer, depending on how much film we do. Thursday is about 1 1/2 hours.

Monday is a BIG fundamental day for us. #1-Lift Weights, then 10 minute defensive meeting that is an overview of upcoming opponent's offense #2-Practice in helmets and shoulder pads dynamic warmup 15 individual kicking drills (shed, coverage, etc) 15 tackling stations 15 blocking stations 20-30 team defense install/walk-thru 20-30 team offense install/walk thru 15 condition This has really been good for us. We watch OUR game film Saturday morning after our workout. Only those guys who played Friday night have to stay and watch. JV guys can stay or go home after the workout. Use three rooms for film (O-Line, skill guys, defense). Once we turn off the film on Saturday, that game is done; we move on to the next one.

Most of our coaches work both sides of the ball.
Our Varsity and JV's practice separately (We don't have a Freshman team).
Monday: Lift, Scouting report/game plan, film
Tuesday (Primarily offense): Warmup Special teams Defense (10 minutes) Individual offense Inside drill (All of our group oeriods are Thud, no tackling to the ground, stay off of legs) 7 on 7/Pass pro Team offense
Wednesday (Primarily defense) Warmup Tackling Special teams Offense (10 minutes) Adjustments Individual defense Inside drill 7 on 7/Pass rush or Team pass defense Team defense
Thursday: Lift, walk-through

If you're a 2 platoon team here's what we do:
Monday- Film (field after if needed) Tuesday- Special teams to start. Offense runs indy, group alone. Defense runs indy, group alone. We come together for 1v1/skelly and inside period. We are each other's scout teams as well- so we'll do a 15-20 play defensive script and the rest of the time is d team. Wednesday- same as Wednesday. Thursday- run through- special teams, indy, run-through inside run and blitz/fit periods, team Friday play
