Just remember, a segment clock is only as useful as coaches' willingness to follow it. 5 min= 5 min!

We use our phones. Everyones clock is the same not very difficult to stay on schedule. I hated segment clocks when I played in college. It made the whole thing drag when you knew how much longer you had to be in a certain drill.

We use one I bought off Sam's club for like $800, not the fanciest but does the job and has lasted 5 seasons so far. Battery doesn't charge anymore but we just run an extension cord n plug it in. I love having it everything is on five minutes and helps keep me on schedule.

We have managers, a stopwatch, large numbers on posterboard, and a bullhorn. It makes it really easy to make adjustments in case we run over, or something happens that needs to take a little more time.

A manager with a phone is all we use. She sticks near me and I give the 60-90 second warning with my big mouth, then blow the whistle when time expires. Works great and at no cost.

I ran a tight schedule using my watch and whistle at a previous stop. I moved to a new program and they had previously purchased a programmable practice timer with horn. After using the timer and getting used to it, I don't think I'd want to practice without it ever again. I don't know what vendor our timer was bought through but Rae crowther sells this model which is the same as our current. Works great but will run you about 2 grand.

I use a $100 Bluetooth party speaker and a segment timer app on my phone. There are thousands of apps designed for exercise. Everyone hears it.

We use a trainer with a stopwatch because we traditionally didn't have a scoreboard on our practice field and had no money for a fancy timer, and now it's too expensive to run the jumbo torn and we still have no money for a timer. Also, our HC has a little issue with punctuality, so it's better to have a person standby and not start the next segment until it actually starts.

We practice on our turf game field and use the scoreboard, we use our filmer in the pressbox to keep the clock, i just hand him a daily practice script with the group times on it, it has improved our practice organization and forces coaches to coach and not "TALK"
