Not football related, but (for some) it's a sports story... lol Joey "Jaws" Chestnut unseated the six-time defending hot dog eating champ in Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest on Wednesday, eating a record 66 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes. full storyvideo

What's the record time that anyone keeps all those dogs in their stomach? I'm betting it's short lived.

What's the record time that anyone keeps all those dogs in their stomach? I'm betting it's short lived. obviously, i'm no expert on the rules, but i do believe there is a time frame in which no contestant can "remove" his/her hot dogs once the contest is completed. i wanna' say it is something like 15 minutes after completion of event. if you puke during the competition or during this "waiting" period, you are dq'd. again, just posting what I think i remember hearing during one of the broadcasts one year.

Come on fellas have a sense of humor, this whole thing is funny. There is a lot of things wrong with America, this isn't one of them. If I had to produce a list this wouldn't be on it.
Mr. Chestnut eating 66 dogs doesn't mean that every kid in America is going to go out and do the same thing.

Anybody complaining about nutrition must not be an ex-lineman. I used to relish eating a dozen doughnuts, a few twists, and a half gallon of milk. Or cans of chocolate icing. I take our linemen to Del Taco here for 33 cent taco night and have eating contests. I say eat like that while you can.

Hilarious. To help celebrate Chestnut's victory I ate 3 Rocky Mountain Foot Long Hot Dogs. I didn't Urp, but it hasn't been 15 minutes yet.

put 14 hot dogs down in three minutes (no buns) to win my college's eating contest a couple of years ago, no Joey Chestnut but not too bad...can't eat like that anymore.

It's sad that the winner wasn't a chick, even creepy. And to think, i've been trying to pick up woman at bars... what a waste of time. I mean... what more could you ask for? Nothing.
I've got first dibs on Kobayashi's sister!
