Rather than hijack the Advantage thread I thought I'd ask the question here. It's self explanatory.
We exchange info about our scrimmages and we exchange scrimmage tapes.

If you arent scrimmaging at the same time. The thing in NC is that we cant scrimmage until Tuesday, and we start playing next Friday. So just about everyones scrimmage schedule is Tuesday and Friday of next week. We will trade scrimmage tapes with our first couple of opponents.

In NH we're allowed to live scout the final scrimmage but can exchange film on any scrimmage.

Yes we have two scrimmages before week one, one a week of pre-season practice. Can scout but hard with a small staff and times mostly the same for scrimmages around here. We will exchange two scrimmages with week one opponent and second scrimmage and week one game with second week foe.

I have in the past when I first started coaching. It's tough though when we scrimmage at the same time usually.

you can film and/or live scout here if you want to
from my experience we all just hudl exchange scrimmage film
last year we went and watched them live too because we played on different nights
this year both us and our first opponent scrimmage on the same night at the same time, so we will just do a HUDL exchange

No, but in reality you can always find someone you know who was at the game.

Our league exchanges scrimmage tapes. Most of us scrimmage on the same dates, so it's beneficial to get that footage.

The first two teams on our schedule are very open with their scrimmage schedule. If we can't get to these scrimmages in person, we have no trouble getting the films.

We generally go or send a scout to scrimmages. We will exchange film of our scrimmages if they want to. We have opened with a team for about 7 years that has not exchanged film with us. We usually get at least the film from their last scrimmage through others. One year they said they didn't even know we switched offenses. Sadly they were just much better than us at that time.

This season our region made an agreement that we would post all our films to hudl. The rationale was that if I wanted to get a film on you, I'd probably be able to get one from someone and you'd be able to do the same, so why not just get it from me from the get go. This will make break down so much easier than waiting until the Friday night/Saturday morning for the exchange to go through.
That being said, I need to go ask my HC about non region games and such.......

We have an open policy in our conference where you just need to inform the other coaches if your are going to live scout. Absolutely no filming of a scrimmage.
