We post eh practice each day in locker room. We have a quote, install, periods, etc.
However, I want somewhere on it a goal or focus.
Does anybody have ideas or want to explain if they do something similar? Or how does your schedule look? Anything creative you would like to share?

We don't post it on the schedule but for defensive practices I'll tell the kids what we're looking for that day when we come together after warmup. Today, for example, we told them that the goal was to play fast. We told them that we understand that on the third day of practice we may have mental errors. We'll get that fixed. That's why we practice every day. If they get used to playing fast, though, we have a chance once they understand what they're doing. That's just one example but I do think that it's a good idea to have a theme for each practice.

We as coaches discuss what we want to accomplish goal wise during each practice period. Then when we start the period we tell that group what we are trying to do. Another goal thing we started doing this season is on defense day the team has to create a set number of turnovers that practice. On offense we have a set number of first downs to achieve during team period. This is very helpful in getting them to go harder and take every rep more serious. With the fumbles and first downs we tell them we will add extra conditioning for every turnover or first down not achieved that day.

I have a "FOCUS" column and i have an "EMPHASIS" column for daily practice plan for each segment.
Kids see it but i also do it for the coaches.
I list the Goals but it is part whatever HC has for goal for the week etc.

Brainstorm...
Mental errors, MA's, alignment problems...make it a competition by class...seniors vs juniors vs soph(if they are on varsity). Can do the same at the JV level. Might get better focus if they are competing and there are gassers or something on the line after practice. Plus it adds some "pressure" to practice.
