I have been on staffs that have done it a couple of ways. I am interested in hearing what other people do after a Friday night game. Do you go out as a staff for Beer and food, do you go somewhere and breakdown film? Do you go home and spend the time with family?

We usually get some take-out, some beer, and go to someone's house to breakdown film. All 3 at the same time. Helps us keep from shouting too much, when we got food in out mouths.

We go home to be with our families b/c we start it up pretty early sat. morning.
It is amazing how we prepare so much to win games and then you only have a small amount of time to enjoy it

We have family get togethers after home games. Wives bring food and drinks. We watch the news to see the scores. After away games, we don't do anything.

We will all (coaches, wives, AD, friends, etc.) celebrate or commiserate together, usually at my (head coach's) house. We provide food and beverages. Watch scores, Leno or Lettermen, etc. The last thing I want to do is watch the game film that night - need to debrief.

We ditto that blb. Besides that, the last thing our wives want us doing is arguing over the game film. Definitely need to debrief.

Get together after every game at my house (head coach). My wife cooks, sometimes meals, sometimes snacks, assistants bring beer and we just add it to the collection. We usually watch scores and BS for awhile, may or may not watch game film, but never to break it down, just watch to enjoy as a fan, or to be heartbroken again in a loss. We meet on Sundays to break it down, my guys are good at making mental notes as they watch, so makes spotting mistakes easier on Sundays.

One staff I was on...all the assistants took turns hosting the post game parties. Wives came too. Everyone stayed until after the sports was on the news. After away games we usually just went over to the house of the coach who lives by the HS to catch all the scores.

My wife's Taco Soup or Chili is always a big hit...on homecoming we host a big bash...food, beers, mixed drinks, invite all involved in program (not kids though) LOL. We tend to gravitate to the garage at about 11:30 or so due to a sleeping 2 year old...we get loud when we drink sometimes!
