Coaches
I posted on here about my situation. So here you go
Got a 6'5" 245 lb rising TE that has DIA Offers.. He can play TE.. Also we go open and we are in 20 personnel (He ran 4.9 and both UVA and VA Techs one day). He also knows H back on our offense.. Can be off the line and move guy.. Power, Counter, IZ insert (Ohio state) and can flex out wide and match up against small corners. As a freshmen last year he was a all conference power forward.. Good ball skills and body control.
Have another TE/H Back Hybrid guy... 6'2" 218 lbs.. 4.8 forty guy.. Has D2 offers as TE.. Last year as a WR was all conference.. 35 catches 7 TDs.. good athlete.. Big and long. We use him as TE/H/Z... When he is the Z we can still motion him and use him as an H Back in 21 personnel.. He can insert IZ, Power kick out and counter.. etc... So we could look like 11 personnel with the 245 lbs at TE but his kid can motion and be an H.. or just WR.. He is also our BIG TB/RB in short yardage...
3rd Player... Dynamic.. Almost offered at UVA and Tech.. He is a RISING FRESHMEN.. Has not been in high school but is dynamic.. 14.. 5'10" 170 lbs.. Legit low 4.6 and high 4.5 at camps.. He is smooth, fast, cuts... real deal.. explosive. Tech and UVA just want to see his film this fall but will have offers. We use him at TB but also X WR, Z WR and Slot.. Really smart and knows all of them... Jet sweeps, Catches the ball well and runs fades and post routes... but is multiple
4th player 5'11' 190.. fast.. explosive.. slot, rb, wr.. knows all of the wr positions but can run IZ/Power/counter/power... can be a slot, X, Z and tb.. knows them all
5th player... Strictly Wr.. know X and Z
so here you go.. How do you call plays.. I have three guys that could be RB.. 2 of them could be TE.. two could be H back... I could be in 21 personnel
20
11
10
not rotate my personnel.. keep all 5 on the field... My question is how to label this or how to call it in a game... with this group I can be in 21 personnel with a traditional H Back, TE.. etc.. Or 11 with TE.. 3 wide and TB.. or 20 with 3 wide.. H Back and TB.. or 10 ... We could be in 10 personnel but make our Z the move guy (220 lbs) and still be able to run IZ insert, OZ, Power, Counter... Just looking at ideas on how to call this stuff...
have another slot guy who won the 55 meters in the winter in VA, won 200 meters this spring 21.4 and also was 2nd in state in 100 meters 10.6... He is a slot, jet sweep guy... He is strictly a Slot, TB.. Just looking at simplifying this group in play calling, packaging.
