So just watched Friday Night Lights, or at least part of it, just wondering after looking around on line......How do they do they playoffs now I see there is a 5A group I and II. Is one more prestigous(sp) than the other and how do they figure out who ends up in which bracket?

bracket determined by enrollment. the 2 largest schools within each district (conference) go division 1, while the smaller 2 go division 2 ... you could be division 1 during one season and the next be division 2 -- depending on who qualifies from your district. we've had years where the 5a "big" school champion actually had a smaller enrollment than the 5a "small" school champion.
complicated (and stupid, imo)

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a weird system. Do people look at the divisions any diffrent? Like if you win D-1 over the D-2?

not really. has nothing to do with prestigue ... all to do with enrollment within your district (conference). there has been years where one champ actually beat the other during the regular season (twice, at least) and once where both champs came from the same district (i.e. conference, league, etc.). there have been instances where both champs were beaten by a common opponent.
