Whats the best electronic way (IPhone, IPAD, Computer) that you have used to take attendance during the summer and regular season?

excel file.... Also have all have workouts weight listed in next to their attendance, the boys can see what weight they need and how often they attend as well.... I prefer to do it on a desktop or lap top...

I have a roster posted outside the door with M-Sat as headings and kids initial the respective day across from their name.
I do a quick scan of the sheet and know who's there and who is not.

We are old school. For all workouts, we have an attendance sheet on a clipboard that is kept in the coaches' office on a shelf over one particular coach's desk. For attendance during the season, we align the kids alphabetically in rows and walk through the rows and take attendance. The attendance sheet is kept in a drawer in the aforementioned coach's desk.

Our HC is old school, we start the summer with a grade book. Each position coach is responsible for attendance of his group. We take attendance for both offensive and defensive periods. The offense checks the box and the defense hi-lites the box We do this to see if certain kids are skipping out on one side of the ball or the other. We keep trying to get him to use excel buuuuuut...
