John Kolb - Oklahoma State/Pittsburgh Steelers: NFL's "strongest man" for a time; Bradshaw almost never felt pressure from his back side because of this guy.

Lawrence Taylor, wore his number in high school and college, still show vids of him to our kids so they can see him chase the football.

Im from Detroit so I might be biased:
Barry Sanders, Chris Spielman, Herman Moore, and Wayne Fontes
Players today: Zach Thomas, Derrick Brooks; true linebackers that read their keys and not playing off athletic ability (ie. Lavar Arrington or Brian Urlacher)

brophy, you DO realize you've posted a picture of an OFFENSIVE (in every sense of the word) lineman, don't you? I thought anything to do with that side of the ball was anathema to you! Besides, Dobler was remarkably untalented.

My favorite players have to be Derrick Thomas on defense and Dan Marino on offense. DT was so fast coming off the edge and Dan had the quickest release I have ever seen.

Billy 'White Shoes' Johnson. Loved punt returners, still do - especially the ones who'd rather get nailed for 2 yards than make a fair catch. Maybe it's not the most sensible thing to do, but it's bravery.
Also growing up I liked Natrone Means until I saw Earl Campbell. Thought Sanders was good until I saw Gale Sayers. Think Lenny Moore's my favourite though.
