No. That is called tendencies. No that is called listening to words. Do you really think that other defenses didn't pick up on tendencies based on alignment of the back in the gun? That colleges even all the way back in 2010 didn't look at that? LOL Read more: coachhuey.com/thread/69082/cheating-football#ixzz3aFWEGCXUNo I know colleges do that.. Our DC has 10 years of college coaching experience from Division II, III and FCS Level.. He is the one that came up with it... I get that.. The difference between us and 99% of other high school teams is we check EVERYTHING with the LBER.. He makes the calls and we go.. Out lbers have checks weekly off of formations, personnel, etc... Most high schools do not do this... Other teams may or may not have picked up on it (Considering we played them in the regional finals Thanksgiving weekend it looked like not too many did pick up on it)... We were able to win by the QBs feet... Alignment of back confirmed.. Run read our OLBER blitzed and we were cover 0... 7 man box against spread.. Pass lbers dropped and safeties play cover 4.. Was a HUGE Again others would consider that unethical... This to me is not cheating at all. Defensive checks are a part of the game. Defensive players have to be able to make checks based upon scouting tendencies. If they can not make on field checks then why do we as coaches look for things like back depth and the Wr pulling on gloves for pass or qb double checking a side on a pass etc None of that means anything if your kids don't check We all do it man, there are some years we do it 100% of the time, other years kids don't get it as much so we do it less.

I am over the whole legislating safety, rules, blah, blah, blah... Most of the time the rules are absolutely asnine, lack any real world understanding, and are only in place to cover a$%! They do not enforce the rules and when they do they are well over reasonable. PLEASE STOP THE NONSENSE!

Let's hope the new pro bowler isn't as bad. Can't trust a school with an imaginary mascot.

"If you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin" Personally, I wouldn't want to win a game having had to cheat to win. I'm sure it happens, I typically see it on HUDL with deleted clips. But I wouldn't be surprised if there are other things going on. Just thought of something that might help this define this cheating thing. It is cheating if you wouldn't want it done to you. Sort of the Golden Rule. For instance, o lineman gets his hands inside your d lineman and grabs on like a steering wheel. D lineman can't get off the block. just think that is a heck of block and tell my d lineman to get off of it. If you don't make an escape move, it isn't holding. So in my book, that is fine if we do the same thing. Plus, it is the refs call to get right. Other team chop blocks us. Hold a guy up while other guy takes legs out. Definitely illegal and cheating and worse unethical and dangerous. Wouldn't want anyone to teach that and we definitely wouldn't. We have had it called on us before. We unintentionally did it and we got onto our players about it. Now we didn't hold someone up and then dive on his legs. Just high lowed someone by accident. I wouldn't want someone to delete clips from Hudl on us or come and watch our practice, so I feel that if we did that it would be cheating. Plus, there is no ref here to throw a flag on deleting a Hudl clip. I wouldn't want someone to flood their field on us or turn on the heat in the visitor locker room in August on us, so we aren't going to do that to someone else. Is it cheating? I don't know, but just isn't the right way to do things. Heck, our visitors get a better, bigger, closer locker room that we have and they get AC. Just do things right and treat people right and try and win fair and square. But I am not perfect, there is probably some coach I have unintentionally pissed off over something and don't even know it.

If you see it on film, you're just scouting what they sent you. I don't think we've ever deleted clips and are always more than willing to exchange film and will give an extra game if it's agreed upon.
We play a team that basically only gives us their tight copy which is a bit of a pain because you can't see their secondary, but they are mostly cover 1/0 so it's not terrible.
I don't blame high school coaches letting air out of the ball. The refs don't scientifically pump them to a certain weight so they could be overweight actually.
Plus I like to

We always let air out of the balls after the officials marked them. They never caught us!!
