I'd settle for a discount at the confession stand on JV night. $2.50 for Sun Drop is wearing me out.

I receive $5200 as an asst, $5000 for strength and conditioning, $1000 for ten days of camps and $19000 for coordinating our fundraising program. Just how much does your fundraising program bring in if it can afford to pay you $19K to coordinate it!?

Had to split a jv salary this year at new school as the guy we kept has been there forever and got the one paid varsity salary. I am DC/OL/Ast head coach etc... Lowest pay I have ever had in my career including a frosh Ast coach at a privte school. But we don't do it for the money right... Oh yeah a No and lol for,the rest of the questions.

1. I am OC and run the weight program. Assistants get 10% of base teaching salary, HC gets 20%. It does not matter what your title is, all assistants make the same percentage.
2. the only thing we get from the booster club is hotel and registration for one clinic per year.
3. We get nothing extra for weights.
4. No
as a side note, i started coaching tennis this year to make a little extra cash. It pays 9% of my teaching salary. So i am getting paid a few hundred dollars a year less for tennis than i am for football and it takes about 1/10th of the time that football does.

We are lucky enough to be in a relatively wealthy part of town where it is easy to fundraise. I put together a golf tourney, a card selling deal our kids do, make sure our stadium is filled with signage, negotiate some nice deals for our email program, and manage a few relationships with some alumni. It's a lot of work but I meet a some interesting people.

3500 wr coach 1350 7th grade 2989 was boys track
Our school pays our teacher retirement so I get that back, so that is like another 2800 right now. We get paid for running camps and summer wts through our booster club and ongoing fundraiser of selling chocolate milk, Gatorade, and squeeze pops all year . Just started selling pb&j too.
Have made more and less for certain things at the other schools I've worked at.
What is sad is if I went 20 east over the state line I would Get about a 15-20000 dollar raise JUST for teaching , not even including stipend monies.

1) $3929.00 as a Defensive Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Head Groundskeeper, Maintenance Manager, Equipment Manager, Game Day Equipment Transport (No Fuel Stipends).....Punt & Punt Return Coach. 2) No 3) No 4) No
The question I want answered is, How many of you spend money, you know will NOT be reimbursed, on extra needs for the team or individual players (whether bus fares, cleats, Camp Fee help, etc.)?

I gave the OL of the week a $10 gift certificate to Dairy Queen after every win and we won 9. Jelly Bellies for a defensive score ("Scoop and Score") Also provided peanut butter and crackers for after weight lifting workouts. I'm sure there were other incidentals. I don't count clinics, books, DVD's, etc. because if I leave the program the knowledge travels with me.

I ended up buying bagels and cream cheese for the kids on Saturday games because so many would show up without eating breakfast. I bought bread, peanut butter and jelly, and bananas for the Friday evening games. I was supposed to take turns with our HC. Still waiting for his turn I guess lol.

Our assistant coach supplement is $3400. We have four of them. Luckily we can divide them up to get in more coaches and that's not a terrible thing because it's still a decent supplement.
HC makes 7300. Plus a summer coaching stipend which equates to 2300. So nearly 10k total. Definitely not bad for the area. No other funds come in.
The place I was before your assistant stipend was $5100. There were 3 of those, then 3 $3000 ones. The HC stipend was based at 10k plus had summer stipend and weights stipend to make it a total of 13k. That is incredibly high for this area and really for the whole state.

Assistant coach (all the same, regardless of title) get 13.5% of the starting teachers salary for the district. My stipend came to about $5700 after taxes I believe. Head coach gets 18.5%. We all get $100/year longevity pay, maxed at 15 years or so. No extra comp from school for playoffs, etc. we have no booster club either. No weigroom stipend to speak of at all. I coach track (assistant) in the spring, probably take home aroun 3k for that as well. (I work with lots of my football guys during track, including lifting sessions)

I will have to be honest. I really don't pay much attention to my pay check anymore as long as it makes direct deposit. I am one of the top paid in my program mostly because of age and experience.
1. We get flat rates here and I am not positive what it is but I think I get $5600 as a varsity football coach, + we get 10 extra days which is based off your daily pay rate as a teacher. I also get about $1500 for being weight room coordinator. That should all come out to around $10,000 +. I chose not to do a 3nd sport because I also do powerlifting which pays nothing. But typical pay is about $3000 for track etc as an assistant.
2. NO, We don't even have a booster club and our governing body UIL does not allow coaches to be paid any money. 3. YES, I can get get paid by Century 21 to work the weight room in the summer but I have opted to let someone else do it and I honestly need the time away. I think they pay $24/hour for 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. 4. NO additional funds unless you count 2nd jobs, stocks and mutual funds.

At Waverly Assistant coaches top out at $4400 which includes 25% for summer program(weights and conditioning) and it was in 3 steps about 600 dollar increments. 0-3 years, 4-8 and over 8. No extra for playoffs.
Head Coach is $5500, up to about 7000 (same increments) plus 25% for summer and there is a Weight room stipend that is same as head coach but it is year around job.

Head coach. I bring home about 4K.
We have post season pay built in (a percentage prorated from each coach's base pay depending on how many weeks into post season. No booster involvement. There really isn't a FB booster club just a general one.
I get paid for summer weights but by the Town recreation program.
Nothing else.

Mine is $2000 flat rate for an assistant, paid once a year after the season is over by the school district. There is no additional supplemental pay or option for increases. It is attached to a standard 10 month teaching contract. However, our program does have an 11 month teaching contract, also attached to a $2000 assistant coach contract. That means an extra 10% bump in teacher pay for the guy who has that one. The only possible way for me to get a raise as a coach would be to somehow be promoted into that job.

HC-$5200 I run all weight room sessions (3x per week year round) for nothing. My Boosters are very supportive of the team and players. Coaches can expect a free polo, jacket, hat, and all clinics paid for (not including travel and lodging). I asked my AD about a stipend for weight lifting since I train all athletes in the school, male or female, all sports and he laughed me out of his office. I'm also an assistant indoor and outdoor track coach at $2300 each season.

1. OC-7500. Strength Coach-1000 2. Our school system has now made this illegal. 3. Part of #1 4. No I can tell you that here in GA there are places that make a ton more than me but after seeing what some of yall put, I will not complain again. Bingo!!!! I don't complain now, but this thread reinforces that, big time! There are HCs in our state that make the whole staff salary posted here. I also notice my TX coaches have said nope, not talking pay on this thread! LOL

I did a thread like this before and it was a lot of fun. 1. What is your coaching supplement? Is it a flat rate, or will it improve over time based on years of experience? Please indicate your title (i.e. HC, DC, etc.) 2. Does your booster club or school award extra money for things like district championships or playoff wins? 3. Do you get paid for being in the weight room over the summer? 4. Do you get any additional funds for things that are not listed above? I'll start. 1. As a defensive coordinator, I make $3,000 for Fall and Spring practice. This is a flat rate. There are no steps. This is what all assistants in our county make, no matter how many years they have been coaching. 2. No 3. No 4. No 1. I think I make around $4800 as a HC. I'm not really sure honestly. 2. NO. Hell, our booster club doesn't even give us any money for equipment. In 5 years I've gotten a combined $2700 from our boosters in any form. 3. No. But the did give me a job mowing to sort of offset it I think. 4. No, but I certainly get creative in finding ways to get myself free clothing, so that is a nice perk.
