does anyone have a letter that they send out to all of the parents thanking them and giving them a heads up on what to expect for the year? or do you just have a meeting?
or both?

Blue,
I read your material and I thought it was pretty good stuff. Would you say that, with this philosophy and with the tools you have implemented, you have been able to establish good communications and relationships with the parents in your program?

We just sent out a calender of the spring events.
We will have parents meeting right before spring practice. We will give out a paper copy of information, but also go over the rules, procedures, etc....
We are tinkering with having 'sign ups' at a booster club meeting with the rising 9th graders, to try and get the parents involved with the booster club earlier.
Our website has a ton of information too.

To be truthful with you, I came up with this one, to add onto what I had. Last year was a year from hell with some parents. Most parents are great, but I have never seen this from a small group of parents before. I just don't ever want to go threw that again. It really made the season hard. It did put a little wedge between 2 players, that I liked very much, and myself. So this is to avoid any other situations like that. Thanks, bluecrazy

I hold a spring meeting and hand out all the schedules for summer weight room/camps/practice/7 on 7 etc...
Spring Meeting in April/May Parent Meeting in August Quarterly Newsletters
I did the letter thing one year and the communication was terrible.
