Just curious how many of you require your players to purchase their own girdles and/or practice pants?
We still provide both. We did offer both on our "team shop" this past year and several bought them. The guy we purchase supplies through said we are one of a very few teams that he is aware of that still provides these things.
Thanks.

We do, but will provide them if needed. Most kids prefer their own.

We have a Pride Pack that players must purchase; it includes girdles. We have a way to purchase these for any players who have financial issues.

Wanna do them as a spirit pack add on
Most kids by their own It's so much easier to buy your own No funkyness No losing pads It's just one piece and they are much lighter and more comfortable than a girdle with leg pads
Would love a suggestion of anyone found a good bulk deal
I've seen 7 pad ones online but feel they'd be awkward for kids who are really short

We use the seven pad integrated pants as our practice and game pants.
The only issue has been that we have had white pants as our practice and game pants which tend to show their age very quickly.
This year we will buy navy pants as well eyes try to get a set of white integrated pants just for games
This has completely changed the storage and logistics for our football program now we no longer have 1 million loose pads laying around we no longer have to order girdles every year it allows us to buy more stuff for the kids
Yes we keep all of the pants year in and year out

I haven't been around a pracitce in over 10 years where anyone wore practice pants. How many of you do this? We just where the girdle and shorts. The kids buy their own girdle.

We had integrated pants when I had little kids, it was awesome. No knee pads saved me so much hassle. The tail and kidney pads snapped into place, it was pretty easy to keep track of everything esp. because they were all the same model. They were machine-washable, just throw them in. I can't say a bad thing about them.

Last year and the start of this year I let kids wear shorts with girdles underneath. We looked sloppy, kids were all wearing different color shorts, some kids would still wear football pants. I had them all go back to pants after we had a few weeks of undisciplined football. I wish I could get them to wear the same color shorts but requiring families to buy extra stuff irks me. Too much money is already put into playing with fees and fundraising and all of that. I'm probably just knitpicking but I prefer them to look unified.

What was really weird was at The Zoo kids would wear shorts OVER their practice pants, just as a fashion statement. Didn't bother me on a rational level but irritated the hell out of me for some reason.

Didn't bother me on a rational level but irritated the hell out of me for some reason. We have players do this in Utah. They're called polynesians. Polynesians are big and mean, and can pull off many fashion statements that men like you and me could never even attempt. Nobody even chuckles when a polynesian does this.

WE buy girdles as a part of their player package it is a must, they can buy another one, but we get them a medium grade one.
We don't wear practice pants, because we don't wear full pads. So they must wear team color shorts, black/blue/white.

We wear black shorts over a 5 pad girdle. A pair of shorts and girdle come with their package and you can buy extras if you want on your own. Most kids have black shorts and we buy a bunch extra from wal mart to give to kids who forget.
