So are they now just teaching or have those contracts been terminated as well?

1 is tenured and will continue to teach. 1 is not tenured and will be let go from teaching at the end of the year. The 3rd i'm not privy to.

Wow! I guess the one silver lining from that is the coach w/o tenure knows he will be let go at the end of the school year and has 8 months to line something up. But, again. . . . wow.

pretty sure they can't clip you that easy from a teaching spot in the middle of the year. At least not in GA.

Our opponent this week had their HC fired after the 3rd game.
I'm not sure of all the details, and apparently there was a lot more to it, but part of if was that he was a non-teaching youth coach they hired who turned out to not have any of our necessary state certifications.
They didn't find this out until right before kickoff of their first game, which makes me wonder how he was hired in the first place.

Down around Pittsburgh two coaches have resigned in the last two weeks. The most bizarre was a former college assistant who was hired at a school that was moved up a class and is the smallest school in the state for their class. He resigned due to "player safety" said he wasn't coaching but "game planning not to get kids hurt". Not sure how quitting three games into your first year as a HC makes it any safer for your kids but I guess he thinks it does.

The team we play next week has 8 college bound players. Not sure they should be allowed to play due "player safety." My three d1's wouldn't hurt anyone, so they are ok to play
