As some of you know we are starting our first varsity season. We are 1-1 right now. We still have a long way to go. We play last years state champs tomorrow, and they are way above us in all aspects. My qb, a frosh, went home sick today. He caught what was going around. I know he is really sick because he doesn't want to miss a game. My back up qb, who was terrible, but I was hoping would get better with jv reps quit Tuesday, he felt he should be playing more. So I moved a WR who I thought might make a qb down the road, to qb. He can't throw very well but has some wheels. Any way, tomorrow could be a rough one, would have been a tough one with everyone, but if I don't have my qb it will be a hell of a night.

Good luck.
View it as an opportunity to build depth and develop some guys.
During the course of games like this, I try to break things into little challenges.
"Let's see if we can get a first down on our opening possession"
"Get it to 3rd down defense, keep them from picking first downs on 1st and 2nd down"
"Billy, see if you can reach this kid"
Things like that. Keep it simple.
