Any idea where I would find stats on last NCAA Football seasons targeting penalties (total called) and % that were overturned and the ejection was not upheld.

....I knew that back in May, but I forgot that they are doing that this season. If it is enforced like the leading with your helmet penalty last year was. You will see a flag up until week 3, then it will be back to the status quo.

If the player is ejected do they sit the following game also?

Yes, ejections mean you miss that game (whether you are 1 min in or 1 min left to go), and the next

I think there should be an appeals process then for the following game suspension. If a ref totally blows the call on a hold or PI you can recover but blows it on this the kid could be missing 20% of his senior year!
