Should I tell that to my state's back to back state champions then? Because they don't? I would tell your kids that I am a big 10 alumni. To win back to back state championships, you need to have a group of kids who are veterans and real, real smart. If you have a young group of kids who can get after it, y'know, and uh are grounded in hard nosed football then, yeah, they could win a championship, too. In short, your corners need to play hard run support and cover the deep pass and your running backs can't get tackled Coach with all due respect this is just generalization. This thread is a little off the rails. Let's define contact / hitting are we talking going live to the ground , going thud or are we talking working technique ? Bottom line is you can go tell a guy run 2,000 full speed sprints will he get faster? Maybe, but if you teach him to run technically in sub max speeds and do a little full speed / top end work he will b even faster. Same for hitting. Teach some technique over and over till it's boring give them some high tempo live stuff but not often. 1) keeps kids healthy 2) TEACHES them how to handle contact & builds confidence. Also who cares if your a 2 time Super Bowl winner or big 10 alum? How does that in any way have a bearing on the discussion? You were a talented player and great athlete awesome doesn't mean your coaching points are more or less valid

You were a talented player and great athlete awesome doesn't mean your coaching points are more or less valid so you are correct. lets define 'Hitting' Live - Full Speed, no defined winner, with Take down Thud - Full Speed, no defined winner, no Take Down (what we used to call "wrap") Control - Full Speed, with a Defined Winner (offense wins...etc), No Take Down we go Control and Thud almost exclusively, going live for only about 10 snaps a week.

Well, heck - NOW I know our problems!
Our Corners won't stop both the Sweep AND the Deep Pass, and our RBs keep getting tackled!
This man is a Football genius.

HAHAHAHA I can't stop laughing. No way blb the real solution is your corners stop the deep ball, stuff the run and pressure the passer. #SEC alum's

There've been threads on here before about the guy and his youtube videos, which you should definitely check out for a good (unintentional) laugh. Just laugh at him and move on...
