For years, I have seen/heard it all about the best way to "re-light the fire" after halftime. In my opinion, the second half is a brand new game, and I get tired of seeing teams start slow for the first few minutes in the second half... At the same time, every time I see a team come out on fire in the 3rd quarter I wonder what their post-halftime speech routine is. Feel free to chime in your routine, dos and donts, or ideas you may have.
I prefer a:
Dynamic Flex Period - Agility 15 yards-Stride 15 yards Defensive Group Tackling Period O Group Skill Work (Routes on air/2 Line Passing)

For us we send the players into the locker room and get them water or tape or whatever they need. At that thime our staff is talking through what has happenend during the first half and what needs to be addressed. After 4-5 minutes our OLine will meet with our OC/OLine staff while the DC talks to the D as a whole group. Then the OC can talk through any adjustment to the entire O. Sometimes the D needs more time sometimes the O needs more time. We comeback our close to when the clock hits zero. Then they add 3 minutes for teams to warm back up. We circle stretch do some jumping jacks and then head to the sideline. This is the only way I've ever done it between coaching, playing in college and high school.
