Not sure about costs but I know a school actually had a building donated to them for this purpose. It was an old factory type building and they were either shutting down or didn't need the space and the building just so happened to be pretty much right next to the school so they accepted it, did some renovations to make it work and now have a complete indoor practice facility. Maybe worth looking into.

Our was built by Coca Cola. We signed a 10 year deal to exclusively sell Coke products at all of our sporting events.

Our school built an indoor facility with weight room, two meeting/film rooms (each the size of a normal classroom), padded room for cheerleading, and a partial field (140 ft by 215 ft) for 1.8 million (privately raised money - no taxpayer money involved). The 1.8 million includes building a storage garage for busing and maintenance, a 43 spot parking lot, access drive, and a grass, half-sized practice field just outside of the indoor facility. If I remember correctly, I think the field house with indoor practice field and weight room as mentioned above was about $680,000 (that included the supplies for the weight room).

We have 5 high schools. Each one received an indoor facility, but we are are very large school district. May not be able to work for everyone. The school district paid for each school to build a $5,000,000 field house a few years ago.

I believe if you just want a metal barn type building with some type of turf you can get that done for about 500k. I have coached in a school where we had a multi-purpose building with half a field. Roof was not real high so passing game had to be quick game, but It was nice to have and I didn't realize how much I missed it till I didn't have it anymore.

Coach, isn't it a given that the offense is terrible. I haven't seen a single decent offensive football team in Ohio-- the dc's in ohio have pretty much the easiest jobs in the country.

We just got a 100 yard field of turf given to us from a bigger school that is redoing their field. We are going to put a strip of it over the track so the teams can walk over that instead of the asphalt track. We are going to lay down some of it on both sidelines to keep it from becoming a mud pit. We have given some of it to the city baseball/softball/golf facility to put down on the batting/tee cages. I honestly don't know where we are going to use the rest of it.
