We are in a fortunate position whereby we have some excess money that must be spent. Its around £3000 so -$4000-$5000 US and we cannot spend the money on weights, helmets and shoulder pads or new uniforms.
Couple of options I've been thinking is; Filming tower (probably build one or buy very inexpensive one) Bullet arms Pop Up Dummys Team clothing such as work out t-shirts etc
If anyone has any suggestions as to what they would purchase that'd be great.

Second question what type of sled (mod/powerline/lev etc) do you prefer and why

- Chutes!!! Most essential coaching equipment aside from a football, imo. - Sled - Port-a-pit (High jump/pole vault landing pad) - QB throwing net - jugs machine - Hand shields - Agility bags - Workout clothes

Second question what type of sled (mod/powerline/lev etc) do you prefer and why Lev sled because they have the locking mechanism as well. Although I have not had the luxury of using a tek sled and would love to try one out. Buy one and let me know how you like it... haha

I forgot to suggest a team building trip. Retreat to the mountains or to the coast or something like that. Does wonders.

Get a crash mat! Other than that, many of the things have been said above, such as chutes, sled, hand shields, bags.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what they would purchase that'd be great. A charitable donation to our football program... No I'd definitely go with workout clothes for the players - they'll get a kick out of that stuff. Also a chute.

I bought one of these years ago and my linemen loved me for it. It whooped their tail, but we became much more competitive upfront because of it. Attachment DeletedAustin Leg Drive
Not a sales rep. Just sharing what it did for us. Also, you may have one of these, but an endzone camera is so useful especially if you like to film practice. We became almost instantly better once we started filming practices. I bought this one and it was great. With a camera like this, you wouldn't necessarily need a tower, and it's portable. Just a thought. Hi-Pod Endzone Camera

Not putting one of those in replace of two or three squat racks It doesn't take up a lot of space from width, but obviously in length. They range in size from 7' to 20'. We had the 20 and it took up a wall. We didn't have a particularly big space, but it wasn't too obtrusive. Certainly not a squat rack replacement, but a complement to lower body strength while performing football specific movements. Again, I was not paid for this endorsement.

Pick a college that runs your offensive scheme and take your staff to visit them for a couple of days. Do the same thing defensively. It is great for the coaches to get away for a few days and you will pick up a few ideas that can help you win more games.

We have our 2nd Austin leg drive sled. The first lasted 15 years with heavy use. The 2nd is shorter but still good. Couldn't get anyone to help us purchase the big one (fairly pricey). Had about a 12' one, now about 7-8'. One of our former players who played 7 years in the NFL said it was the best piece of equipment he ever used, for what that is worth.

I think you really can pick out football players from who can do a good job on the sled. and develop them.
