Ive read a couple posts on this in the past and this is kinda a lame question, but does anyone have any good instumental type of music they would recommend for highlight videos? Ive used rudy and Remember the titans, Chariots of fire, Im trying to find a couple more to use for some fresh ideas, Ive also usedthe Pirates of the Carribean. Thanks for any help you can give

There's a band, Explosions in the Sky, that's got really good instrumentals. They're the guys who did the theme from the Friday Night Lights movie. I've got their "The Eart Is Not A Cold Dead Place" cd, it's good stuff.

How about the NFL Films stuff with the John Facenda (The Voice of God) voiceovers? Great stuff!
Another good one is the soundtrack for the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I heard it used at a ton of NFL games last year. Here's a Steelers highlight film from last year using the music:

I get all my music from FreePlay Music. www.freeplaymusic.com/Lots of variety, various lengths, pretty much anything you can want. I find that instrumentals work better for the highlights rather than vocals. I find that the vocals detract from the story the video tells. Casey

When you go to freeplay they have their music in CD-type arrangements. You can purchase the CD or download the songs.
The collections I would start with include: Sports Extreme Vol 1 and 2 Sports Highlights Vol 1 and 2 Sports Themes Vol 1 Motivational Vol 1 and 2 Hot Guitar Rock Vol 1 and 2 Electro-Rock Overdrive 1, 2, 3 and 4 Victory Grand
These average 10 songs per collection, plus each usually has 3 lengths. So, you are looking at probably 130-150 songs.
These are in .mp3 and .acc. I'm a Mac guy so everything goes into iTunes (which works well on PC's as well)
