Any of you receiving more email spam lately after having signed up for a Glazier clinic?
The clinics are great but the sharing of email addresses seems unacceptable. When I went to unsubscribe from G Sport Gloves (never done business with them in my life), I received this...
You have been removed from Glazier Clinics Partner Communications.
You will receive one final email to confirm that we unsubscribed you.
Good times...

Yeah I noticed all my emails were from glazier partners
Didn't mind the others but didn't G gloves rip some coaches off last spring? I remember some guys on here saying they placed orders then never heard back from the company

Was wondering why I started getting e-mails from Malik Fashion Togs. I will pass on buying uniforms from a company in Pakistan.

This is why glazier is "cheaper" for your staff... they have to make their money somewhere... selling your email addresses to their partners is where they make their money.
Just get your name off the list and you won't receive the emails anymore. It is a PITA, but that is how they only charge a staff such a small amount for the clinic. Only emails I receive from Nike COY clinics is the ones reminding me to register for next year's clinic once they set the lineup.

That's why I go to Nike... costs more up front, but I avoid all the guys who are just looking for the "cheapest option"
I am going to Nike in Vegas this week and my new school is going to Vegas for Glazier next week. 2 weeks in a row in Vegas baby!!!! WATCH OUT!!!

...
I work in marketing and email marketing specifically for a national company (let's just say you see our commercials - a lot), so I'm very aware of the laws and how these things are done.
They don't sell your name to them. They rent them. There is a legal difference in that believe it or not.
Many events will give sponsors their member list for a one time mailing (which you may agree to with your purchase - and that new company is supposed to only use it once but they often don't) OR they will send an email on your behalf - multiple times. In both cases, they aren't illegally spamming you per the CAN-SPAM act (assuming you gave your permission). If you live in Canada though, you might have extra protection here shortly.
When you unsubscribe, you unsubscribe from PART of Glazier list with their current system (The Glazier partner thingy...). You're not globally unsubscribing from them across all their marketing categories. Depending how Glazier does it, you might unsubscribe from their partners or a SPECIFIC partner. Please note, they legally have 10 days to remove you from any list you unsubscribe from, so you might get more emails until then.
If you're really sick of it, hit the Report SPAM button in your email client, not the unsubscribe link. If enough coaches do this, Glazier's IP address and sender profile will take a beating and they will, by default, go to the SPAM box for your email client. Glazier will then have to file something with your client to get it fixed.
For companies that do these shady email practices of renting this list, this is usually the only way to send a shot across their bow.

The Dude Abides -
Thanks for expressing your concern, I'd like to address them if I can. The Nike clinic in Las Vegas will feature around 40 sessions at their clinic - our Vegas Glazier Clinic features over 110 sessions and we will have over 1,000 in attendance. We offer a much better clinic for less money.
Additionally, with our high attendance, we draw many more vendors giving you the opportunity to visit and learn firsthand about the new products and services in our industry.
We do work with our partners to bring Glazier Clinics coaches the best communication on products and services that helps teams win more games. We only send football offers, and we do not spam our coaches with email. We do email regularly about registering for our clinics - no one will accuse us of not letting people know about our events. If a coach ever asks to unsubscribe, we take immediate action. Also - I can assure you that the email from Malik Fashion Togs wasn't sent by us.
If this is still of concern to you, please email us at info@glazierclinics.com and request to be unsubscribed.
Thanks coach - hope to see you at a Glazier.

That said, the part about bringing coaches "the best communication on products...that helps teams win more games" is subjective at best. By that logic, you could have every football company in America that wants to advertise with you send us an email in the interest of winning more games. While we're on the subject, do you share our email addresses with colleges and recruiting services?

Dude -
Point well taken. We do try and manage list "fatigue" and we monitor our unsubscribes closely. We hope to find a healthy balance between not over marketing, while trying to provide the best value in football education. It is a balance - and we talk about it often.
The answer to your question on colleges and recruiting services is no. We do not share your email addresses with them.
Thanks coach.
