I am trying to find a remote control which I can use with my laptop for showing game films. I use Proscout video and in their upgrade you are supposed to be able to use a Coach Comm Commando remote. However I just received an email saying that the remote will cost around 500 dollars. This is way too expensive. I'm looking for a remote control that allows me to slow rewind and slow forward while watching the video. Thanks for any comments. Coach G

With some practice you should be be able to use a presentation remote with a mouse attached. I bought a really good one at Best Buy for $70. It has a thumb mouse and you just use it as a mouse. You will need to practice it.

Our coach in charge of tech just plugs a mouse into a laptop and we have slow control forward and back with pause. We have DSV so I don't know if that has something to do with or not.

Coach Geiser,
I use Proscout also, and I got the Key span Remote and it works great. You just program it to the keyboard shortcuts built into Proscout (suprisingly easy process) and it works just like the ol' cowboy clicker. I beleive it was $65 and I called tech support and they help me set it up. The website was keyspan.com and it is the express remote . It is definietley worth it.
