I thought Tebow was very solid as an analyst on the pregame show, but didn't see any of the social media stuff. Listen, I'm a Tebow fan, but if you thought he couldn't throw a football, then he dam sure can't announce. He was so robotic to me. It almost felt uncomfortable to listen to him talk. Don't think he said anything "dumb", but it felt very much as if he were reading it. Duece

Gotta cut him some slack. Most people struggle with things they do for the first time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using proboards

I just watched the film room replay as I didn't see it yesterday. Honestly, I tried to hang in there and watch the whole thing, but I had to turn it off. It reminded me of a bad Thanksgiving Day game with all of my old, drunk uncles. Talking over each other and talking constantly.
My wife talks CONSTANTLY because she is afraid of any quiet time. These guys seemed the same way. There were some good nuggets in there, but I couldn't stand the constant yapping. It reminded me of guys from my old staff who insist on coaching up everything but their own position.
I really like the concept. I hope the producers reformat this to make it better. I would have been good with Luginbill and a couple of coaches. I wouldn't even mind seeing a couple of top coordinators sit in. Offense and Defense. Imagine Phillip Montgomery (Baylor) and Pat Narduzi (MSU). Or, how many laughs would we get listening to HC's Mike Leach (WSU) and Les Miles (LSU)? Comedy Central man I'm telling you.
I like ESPN having the stones to continue leading the pace. If they cut the roster and bring in some personalities, it could be a fun ride.

My wife made me change it. I tend to choose my battles more out of season. Loved the idea though.

Urban and Brady Muschamp and Richt Butch and Franklin Wittingham and Bronco Mora and Petersen Kelly and Sarkisian
These guys great teachers, and if a fight didn't break out, we would probably learn a few things.

Didn't even know that they where doing this. I heard about it on espn radio today and it was getting some positive feedback. Anybody know if they are gonna show it again.

I saw the replay where the coaches called the fake punt in advance. Priceless. Did you hear Brent Musberger open the broadcast by saying (reading) "Hello, I am Kirk Herbstreit along with my partner Brent Musberger."
I was glad to have the option of turning them off and still view the game. I had a different set of folks. Tim Tebow and Johnny Football were on. It was good to see the human side of Johnny Manzell. He came off pretty intelligent. He and Tim were pretty quiet but it was good they are friends and they offered up the proper mind set a QB must have to be effective. They were quick to acknowledge the good job the Auburn DC was doing. Steve Sarkasian (New USC Coach) stopped in. He seemed more wide eyed at what he was watching which can't bode well for USC fans. Then there were a few actors who I guess played youth football offering commentary. I could have done without them but realize they must be appealing to someone. It's the wave of future sports broadcasting. I am sure we will see it again for this year's super bowl.

Me too. I thought it was a stretch though. I mean c'mon, you've had your a$$ handed to you 5 times in a row and your gonna pull the BCS bowl game card? Especially coming from a weaker conference?! He was grasping at straws IMO. I think it would've been neat to have Spurrier and Sumlin in that room with some mook who just controlled the film only and didn't speak. You talk about some insight!

Like many have said, it would have been much more enjoyable with two or three COACHES only, no talking heads. No need to see them so much either, just hear them and see some telestration marks. Because of the excessive amount of talking-over-each-other, I turned it to the regular broadcast about 30 minutes in.
I love the concept and think that it was a good first try. Like most things, it needs some tweaking to be watchable. I will watch it, if it is done again, to see if they make the necessary changes to the format. Unfortunately, very few people can enjoy it at the level we wish to, so I doubt it will morph into that.

Great idea, lets see how it morphs. Like most I had my issues with it particularly too many people in the room and the zoom out/split screen but hopefully it evolves in to something good that we can watch as an alternative. I am in the camp of 2-3 coaches and one moderator (the recruiting guy who just facilitated not someone who thinks we tuned in to listen to them over the coaches).
Glad they tried it, now I'm crossing my fingers they keep trying and adjusting it because it is nice to see the all 22.
