very interesting, i hope our membership can get together and make the changes that will have a positive affect on football. i had heard this on thursday but i'm glad to see it in print. i think with good filmwork this can be a positive temporary solution, your kids can go agaist another team but with you not coaching them, so if you go to a college camp the college coaches coach them and you can review it on film afterwards.

You can not film anything at any NCAA's school's summer camp what so ever. So that will not work. Unless the camp is at a JUCO or NAIA school.

This is such {censored}. Why are we the only sport punished in Illinois. Basketball can have their leagues and camps during the summer and play another school. Baseball gets a fall and winter season. We get 25 contact days. Maybe basketball should only be allowed to run up and down the floor vs another team and not be able to take any actual shots. Baseball just be allowed to stand and take pitches not actually swing.

Why don't IL schools have scrimmages against other teams in August? Is it prohibited? In OK, we have an inner-squad and then 2 scrimmages before our first game.

This will be a major detriment to football playing in the state of Illinois. I dont see how any of the colleges can compete or get any better with players from Illinois. It is hard to ask the U OF I to compete when its own state players cant improve in the summer. No wonder the South is so good, they have spring ball and summer ball. How are we supposed to compete with that. Basketball can play 200 games in the summer with no problems, that is {censored}.
