Planning my first offensive staff meeting as new OC just wanted to see what type of things I should cover.
Plan on meeting for about an hour a day for the last week of school.
Thanks.

Just make sure ALL offensive coaches are on the same page. (way to run routes, blocking technique, terminology) Can't tell you how many times I've had 2 coaches telling a kid the same thing, but used different terms for it. Kid gets confused, and starts the "well coach _____ said this, but you say that...."

terminology, technique, drill progressions, staff expectations for the summer and fall, give each assistant 2-3 things that they have to accomplish over the summer (drill manual, drill progressions, 2 game tapes to break down).

Are you meeting with coaches at multiple levels or just your team?

Make sure all of you are on the same page, terminology, techniques, scheme, drills to be used (Indy, Mixed and Team), signals, calling the game, etc... Be organized at the meeting and have an agenda. This will keep you on topic and prevent BS at the meeting. There will be time for BS after the meeting.

Have a list of what you want to cover and stay on track. It is very easy to discuss one topic for so long there is little time left for anything else.
