Mods, please move if this is not the appropriate board for it.
Do any of you that are coordinators allow your position coaches to evaluate you, and provide suggestions for improvement? I was thinking about creating a few questions and allowing other offensive position coaches a chance to provide feedback on the job I did coordinating this past season. If you've done this, do you find it helpful?

I've never done it, but I like the concept. I've done it as HC (feedback from coordinators), but not on the coordinator level. Hats off to you for being willing to receive some (hopefully constructive) criticism. Most people avoid such actions as they are afraid of what they might hear. I'd be interested to see what questions you develop.

Communicating is always good. I would make this evaluation less formal though. No need to have them fill out a form. Go get some beers, go get dinner, or invite them to your house and just talk about the season with eachother.

As a head coach - I do an informal review. I'll bring all the guys in and talk about what did well in the season, what we can improve upon and map out an initial plan. We typically do this over Pizza and beer.

Comments tend to be more positive over pizza and beer.

In our yearly evaluations, our HC allows us to give some feedback by asking each assistant coach to evaluate our offense, defense, and special teams even though each of us coaches only one side of the football (& some of us do not coach special teams). He asks for areas of improvement that we would like to address, regardless of the positions we coach. This information is obviously presented to the coordinators. We go through an evaluation with our coordinator and talk about our suggestions, and then we repeat the process with the head coach.
