Does anybody know what happened to De La Salle in the CIF State Championship game???
I heard that the HC wasn't a big fan of the game to begin with, but I seriously doubt that the staff didn't give it their all in preparation.
Anyone have thoughts, facts or opinions?

Saw it...
They got outplayed...
Once the veer got shut down, and they brought nice pressure when De La tried to pass...
It was over!

None of their outside double options were working. There was always someone there to tackle the pitch.
I saw the QB miss a few reads on the veer
They simply didnt bring the fire.
Coach Lad said at the half that he has NEVER seen his team play so flat.

DLS got beat up front on both sides of the lines. Canyon - the team they played had a running back that was very tough - he kept running thru arm tackles. It really wasn't much of a game - DLS looked bad. In CA we have a BCS-type system and there are many people who felt that the Grant team from Sacramento would have been a better representative. Grant was undefeated and section champion - as was DLS. But Grant was a far superior team athletically. Since there are no playoffs, only symbolic bowl games and a committee who meets in a backroom, DLS was given the nod to acknowledge their history. Just like the BCS, it will take action on the part of bureaucrats to change the CA system - don't expect it to happen any time soon.

DLS looked like they lacked any kind of emotion other than apathy
