We're heading into the playoffs in two weeks. We'll play the # 1 team who we beat up and down the field in the third game of the year but lost on one sweep play and a TD called back. End of story....
I was wondering, to mix it up and have some fun with the kids, what are some of your trick plays?? I'd like to loosen it up for the kids and run a few tricks here and there....They are 7/8 and a pretty advanced "O". We run a no huddle for the first 3 sets (4 plays at a time) of each game and pretty much eat the clock up and score first all the time. I'd love 5 or so of your trick plays. We run the single wing pretty much under the QB and a few shotguns. Thanks in advance.

I need to know the rules you are using.
Specifically, tell me about the "deceptive and illegal tactics section"
I have quite a few plays, but wouldn't want you getting penalized for them.

Many of the trick plays you will get are illegal, like the " wheres the tee "etc If you are a Single Wing team then you are a shotgun team. At age 8-10 we had one we used quite often on the first play of the game. We put a QB under center which is odd for us because we are a Single Wing team. We snapped though the QBs legs to FB in a very low 3 point, the Qb and the left half ran option right, the Fb ran wedge to the RG ( traditional unbalanced Rt Single wing) We rarely got less than 20 yards on it and once we scored on it in the opening play from 60. We did the same thing with our Double Wing OFfense, at age 13-14, with motioning left wing, ran option right, with a snao through to the sniffer FB and FB wedge right, We had a tiny FB on a tiny team ( he weighed just 80 pounds) it was a huge play for us.

Our rules are pretty liberal. We need 7 guys on the line. One guy motioning at a time. Please just post them and I'll pick through them....Thanks alotin advance!!!! You guys are great here. Coach Ed

the old "come here!" tactic by the coach...just start yelling at your qb to "get over here" and he jogs toward the sideline...snap the ball to the tailback or whoever, the tb lobs a ball to the uncovered qb ...you can have a screen, throw deep, double pass..whatever.

I've been meaning to try that for a while now.....that'd be GREAT! any other ones....I figure just pick up a single-wing playbook or some lonesome polecat from Ellison......tons of 'unconventional stuff' that would shred any defense.

always was partial at those ages with the ultimate trick play... a completed pass. LOL

Ran this last week for an 80 yards score. Must have the kids either block or just get out of the way. We have put in to plays out of it. A Pitch back to the Back of the wall, which was the score, and fake pitch qb bootleg to the open side of the field. Don't know it will work for you but the kids seemed to like it.

sorry the QB was suppose to be under Center. Instead of right behind the wall the spacing messed up whenever I posted. It is suppose to be a wall of 6 blockers, with two backs stacked behind, and another back behind them.
