Saw a post in another thread about a team shortening pre game to get a faster start. Instead of hijacking the thread I thought I'd see if we could expand it in another. I'd love to hear the different schedules and unique philosophies that are being used by all of us on Fridays.

Our pregame is about 20 min on the field. 5 for dynamic warm up (surface in the auxiliary areas where we get ready wont allow us to do this indoors), 5 d Indy, 5 o, run 5 offensive plays on air, done. We do all of our prep in meetings and walk throughs before we get on the bus (play at a neutral site), then helmets on once we get there. Works well with our current group. Might have to adjust with a less experienced team. Our guys this year just want to hit the field and play.

We go out about 20 minutes before the anthem. Some say you need a good long warmup. At the beginning of the second half and when a sub goes in they have very little warmup. When a cat is sleeping and then sees a mouse, it doesn't do a warmup first.

I have experienced it both ways - personally, I liked showing up, short 15 minute warm up, run out on the field, KO or KOR team gets in huddle on 35 ready to play!
3:05 - Get out of school 3:30 - Movie - typically a football or motivational movie to get the kids pumped up 4:45 - Go over Game Plan and Game film 5:30 - Get taped up if needed, do what you need to do to get ready 6:00 - Skill Guys - on sideline for JV game (warm-up at half), Line - go over blocking scheme 7:45 - Warm-up on field after JV Game 8:05 - Kickoff

We feel the need to keep our kids occupied. It seems bad things happen when ever we give them free time!
2:30 school gets out 3:00 team meeting/video 3:30 O positions 4:00 D positions 4:30 O meeting 4:40 D meeting 5:00 JV game 5:15 tape 5:30 dress 5:45 skills out 6:00 linemen out/form running 6:10 O position warm-up 6:20 special team roll call/one rep 6:30 walk to stadium 6:40 D position warm-up + LS/H/K + LS/P/PR 6:50 O vs. D coming out 7:00 game

I cant say for other positions but I'm very careful with the line. From my own experience as a player when you are hyped and the adrenalin is flowing explosive strength activities like drive blocking will drain you quick. If anything I see it as more calming them down and getting focused than warming up.
